Moving back to last night's runs... boy the 00z Euro is one hell of a torch.

At least by 12/1 the Euro Ensemble mean weakens the +EPO and begins to pop a +PNA. Seems like the pattern is still relatively unstable over AK/Bering Sea however.

one day that *could* end up kind of chilly is monday...but might be felt most in E and/or NNE? first glance 850s are meh but there's some chilly low-level sneaky cold that comes in from the N and NE during the day...euro actually has E MA falling into the lower 40s during the afternoon.

Yeah I agree. One of those sneaky low level cold kind of days.

Still compared to climo in the upper 40s... it isn't anything special. Maybe -5 for the day?

The one thing to watch especially for our sneaky snow threats down the line is the monster omega block over Europe with big + height anomalies up toward Scandanavia. If that breaks down concurrently with the -PNA pattern we could set up a sneaky snow threat for the interior even though most of NOAM remains warm with the +EPO pattern having flooded the continent with warmth.

new NAM would probably be snow tomorrow PM in SE MA/parts of the Cape. it's pretty darn cold. actually has a little pocket of 2m temps under 40F during the afternoon.

Its funny that there has been a ton of torch talk over the past week and it could actually snow on the cape tomorrow lol..

It just goes to show you how Oct 30 effed up everyone's thinking

Yeah just saw that. Looks like 2m temps near 38 right over cweat's fanny.

yeah it might be too cold but interesting none-the-less. if it fell steadily / heavily enough i could see it mixing or flipping for a short time.

neat though on the NAM as you can actually see that pocket of cooled low level temps develop in E CT with the arrival of the precip and shift east across the south coast and then away as the precip leaves.

Yup... evap cooling FTW.

We all need to figure out now when and how this disaster of a pattern will change in early Dec.

I have to be honest... you're fun to hang out with in person... but you can be really annoying on the board.

We're trying to talk about the crappy pattern and when it will change and all you add to the conversation is taking quotes out of context and posting nonsensical things that add nothing. And to be frank, aren't even funny.

In your secret little chatroom..you and your friends were discussing how Dec 1-10 is a mega torch..Now you're saying early Dec is a pattern change..so I don't get it.

TBH you're not fun to interact with on the board an to be frank have put on some weight

Yeah the beginning of December looks like a torch pattern. That still hasn't changed.

There are signs that the pattern begins to breakdown by 12/1 but it's still a warm week once the changes begin. Again... you're making no sense lol.

I'm just saying I'm confused..that's all. nothing more..nothing less

Once the pattern begins to change it's not going to be an immediate flip to cold. It's going to take some time. There seems little doubt it's a torch pattern through 12/1 and odds remain pretty good that we have an above normal pattern for the first week in December.

It's ugly now... no doubt about it. But no one was calling for a month of +10 to +15 either lol.

I hope the south coast and cape get some flakes, looking better on models as the midlevels develop and throw a little moisture back.

Believe.

Looks pretty decent for SE CT and interior SEMASS and maybe even the cape...might see some flakes for sure with .10" qpf and falling temps associated with evap cooling!
