snowstormcanuck
Up to 39 with -RA. It's so sick because you can tell by the stratified nature of the precipitation showing up on BUF88D that it's snowing aloft. It's encouraging that the models have shifted east with the deformation band for tonight. Maybe I can sneak out an inch or two.

daddylonglegs
16.7 inches here.. Throw in the 9 inches we had.... That's a lot of December snow... Could be close to breaking some monthly records.

KeenerWx
Nada happening here right now and seems the sun is trying to poke through the overcast...although it should get better later this afternoon one would think. You'll get lit as the band up north heads down your way.
*IndyMeso*
More like a recessive gene of which hopefully my future wife is not a carrier. Hahaha agreed. Ive noticed that talking obsessively about weather models is NOT the greatest topic on first dates but after awhile, the boyfriends family loves to know a met. On a weather note: snow showers really picking up here in Indy noticed sidewalks getting slightly covered. It will be interesting to see how far south the band of lake effect will reach in Indiana later tonight. Really may make a difference in snowfall amounts especially to the east. A-L-E-K
low end moderate, here's my view, what you're looking at is Foster/Lake Shore Drive and what should be Foster Beach and the Lake. FWIW we were pretty much bare grass an hour or two ago.
csnavywx
share the wealth! Trying to! There's a constant dull roar outside. Noticed Rochelle had gusts to 50mph last observation. And you're right, that's one hell of a nice +SN band setting up.
jbcmh81
Passing half an inch here after a seemingly very long wait for changeover. Very heavy snow now with maybe 1/2 mile visibility if that. I like where returns are setting up just along i-70 from here back through Indiana. We may not hit any lull at all if this keeps building.
daddylonglegs
Goknights- Some family own land over by Houston, MN where they are right now... They are thinking of driving back to Anoka today... I think its going to be iffy...

A-L-E-K
Getting heavier and heavier here as we cool down and ratios improve. 25 dbz returns now with the lake no doubt pitching in. I'll take a walk down to catch the wave action if i can get through this deposition quick here.

weatherbo
OK I'm venting! I have spent 5 days that I will never get back tracking this storm. Do i feel obsessive, just a little?! It's been one big disappoinment so far. It is snowing, but it's sinking south so fast it will end shortly. Idk why I do this every year. You'd think as I got older, I'd learn.... Bitter Betty rant over..... back to angry birds

KeenerWx
Sitting at my desk looking out my window as the heavy snow falls. A little bickering going on outside between 3 ravens and 2 squirrels. Probably fighting over whether or not the Colts make the playoffs.

weatherbo
Shouldn't you get more later when everything on that backend works through? And possibly some LES? The back end seems to be constantly weakening, IMO, as the new low kinda takes over further east. and as far as I can tell, the LE will stay well west until weakening and transitioning east.
