A-L-E-K
Amazing. A grand total of perhaps 1/2" of frozen mashed slush and powder from this storm. Am just now starting to get a bit of light snow after spending 9 hours in the dry slot. Some nice deform bands near STL, how much have they picked up so far? Edit: Wow, even Beau is getting in on the action. Talk about spreading it around. better than rain.

It's trying hard to SN or SN+ you can tell, but we're smack dab middle of the warm tounge. Oh my. Meanwhile MDW is 23º and mod snow at 8AM. TheWeatherPimp
One thing that should really hope most of the Illinois, Indiana and Ohio folks today is much higher ratios with temperatures falling into the lower 20's and eventually teens. cyclone77
Picked up maybe a half inch so far. Pretty hard to tell with the wind blowing it around so much. Winds haven't been too bad at all relatively speaking, maybe gusting to 35mph occasionally. Far cry from the 55-60mph winds we expected. Under performer in every way in this area. TimChgo9
Mod snow falling now. Looks like about .5" fell over night. Snow is starting to fill in across NE IL.... Figuring 4-6" which would be a respectable amount. Note to self: When the GFS shows the low over Chicago inside the 72 hour mark, bag it... that's the track... csnavywx
Snow has finally arrived in force. Heavy falling and blowing snow (<1/4 mile easily), high winds and freezing cold. If this isn't blizzard conditions, I don't know what is.
