Grothar
Wind gusts here are easily above 40 maybe even near 45 or 50, Loads of Branches and stick down all over the joint. Havent seen a whole tree down yet. The snow before Halloween caused a lot of broken branches to hang up in the trees. Many came down today. Surprise there was not that many power outages

Absolute Humidity
My wife laughed at me when I asked her if Santa could get me a DVP2. Picked up .90 in the gauge last night.

famartin
Does your wind gust data look right? The anemometer is too low. I think I figured out a place to get it much higher, but I won't be home again until May.

mattinpa
I think one of the posters in the MA forum is right - if we get accumulating snow in the next 10 days, it's more likely to be a small to medium event that shows up on short term guidance rather than a big storm 7 days away. phlwx
Pretty active day down here in Beaufort, SC. Started out muggy in the mid 60's this morning with heavy rain showers and gusty winds in the 30s. Wind advisory up this morning (and still is). Winds still very gusty out of the west to 40mph. Nice bright, blue skies this afternoon with temperature near 70. A lot of back bay flooding this morning from a strong southeast fetch. It's a little weird noticing the higher sun angle down here from what I've been used to up there. Especially at midday, those seven, eight degrees of latitude seem to make a bit of a difference in helping things seem a good bit brighter. Rib
Wow, I heard the wind howling against the house yesterday. The gusts weren't as impressive yesterday afternoon as they sounded.

Thunder Road
KCCX has decent returns over C PA, more than the HRRR was estimating for this time anyway. Maybe a dusting for the western burbs this evening?
Thunder Road
Cresson summit on US-22 is white, but I don't know if that's new snow or not. Altoona, down in the valley, looks like it's snowing very lightly but nothing sticking there. http://www.511pa.com/Traffic.aspx Wow it's disgusting how excited I am about the potential of flurries. We really need a pattern change.
