Grothar
Thanks for the weenie nomination. By the way, the euro is absolutely spot on (thats the weenie coming out) and I cannot wait until I see it snowing dollar size flakes and the plows running. I can also hear Mike Gorses snowblower running from Macungie on the fourth

LMolineuxLM1
That Line was no joke. Brought down an almost 3 inch diameter branch out of a 60+ foot tall tree in my nextdoor neighbors back yard. the branch is about 10 to 15 feet long. Wind gusts had to be in order of 50+ to 60+ MPH. iceman56
Pretty active day down here in Beaufort, SC. Started out muggy in the mid 60's this morning with heavy rain showers and gusty winds in the 30s. Wind advisory up this morning (and still is). Winds still very gusty out of the west to 40mph. Nice bright, blue skies this afternoon with temperature near 70. A lot of back bay flooding this morning from a strong southeast fetch. It's a little weird noticing the higher sun angle down here from what I've been used to up there.

Some of the places near me haven't been there for almost 10 years. The elevation I think I remember putting in is actually quite close to what I see on the map though. SP
getting colder by the hour and the skiers bailed as ice rules the slopes today. snow has been in the air most of the day making things a bit more seasonal after yesterdays gutter washing. Cold night ahead and our friends at JFBB mentioned that tonight there will be an all out blizzard on the mountains as they prepare for the weekend and get more trails open. Tomorrow should be decent conditions for "The Dew Vertical Challenge" at JF. It's amazing what the new snow making gear can accomplish in one night, let alone when its in the low teens. currently 28F and falling with flurries....diminishing winds and a wind chill up to 22F. Harbourton
From the looks of things (12Z models) we're looking at two cold spells starting next week that are interrupted by a RAIN storm. Will be paying for the cold without snow. Rainshadow was correct "I do agree with you windy and cold and 17F does nothing for me except increase the amount of the check I write to PSE&G".
