CAD Addict
Awesome man. We use to have a game and the game was won by who could stay outside (in boone) the longest when the temp was below 15 with no shirt on........ Good times! Haha, we do the same thing. We also have a bad habit of climbing up the balconies naked when we're inebriated. ROTC boys...we're not the sharpest tools in the sheds... strongwxnc
If only those balconies were not easy to climb. I mean damn!! Haha, we do the same thing. EmersonGA
I just went outside and we now have a certifiable dusting on the ground. We must have had a good shower just come through because there wasnt much when I went out for firewood a while back.

waltrip
Dusting here in Kingsport. Just drove through a band in Colonial Heights that put enough snow on the road to "erase" the lines - maybe an inch. Drove back home - nothing. Holding at a dusting at the moment. Still several bands to go though. 24 degrees. Band of heavy snow with lots of wind covered all the roads a little over an hour ago. Probably between half an inch and an inch of snow. Roads snow covered and slick in spots now. Temperature at 22 F with winds at 10MPH.
HKY_WX
off and on flurries here. there's a nice coating around. enough to make things wintry looking.
Rankin5150
Flurries have picked up here in Belmont, NC. They flakes are dime size. I have my stanchion pole on my outdoor patio wrapped in Christmas ligths and the flood light is just above there. Beautiful sight. This is about the closest thing to a white Christmas (even though this is "pee-wee" snow) that we will probably see in this area. The extended looks like there are a couple of players on the field though. Hope they can come together. Hope all my SE Friends are well! Good to be back in the fray with you guys and Gals! Carvers Gap
Band of heavy snow with lots of wind covered all the roads a little over an hour ago. Probably between half an inch and an inch of snow. Roads snow covered and slick in spots now. Temperature at 22 F with winds at 10MPH. Unless I'm reading the radar incorrectly, the lion's share of this is just to our west. It's pushing slowly in this direction - I think. The wind chills are brutal. I really want to see at least a couple of inches of snow so that first clear night the temps can really drop. It's been quite a while since we've gone below zero in this area I believe. (Correct me if I'm wrong on that.) It would be a nice benchmark to judge this cold outbreak by...and the air mass still might not be quite cold enough for that. I'd like to see us give it a run for its money though.
sctvman
Interesting flurries in Aiken. One of our meteorlogists didn't rule out a quick flurry tonight locally. Back to 44.1 now.
Lee
Band of heavy snow with lots of wind covered all the roads a little over an hour ago. Probably between half an inch and an inch of snow. Roads snow covered and slick in spots now. Temperature at 22 F with winds at 10MPH. Plenty more heading your way from knoxville. A near solid area of snow traversing from the Nashville area eastward to your area. Predicted amounts may be needed to be upped for that corridor. Has anyone heard reports of how much has fallen in the Nashville area? From the looks of Radar they have got hit pretty good all evening.
