My energizers work pretty well.

Those are the latest I bought. The cam came with Kodak, they lasted great for 2 years. Bought Kodaks again and they never held much charge, so bought duracell next, complete waste on them, then bought energizers next. Even worse, they barely open the lens. They all work fine for remotes and the razor, for a very long time, but not good for the camera, like the first kodaks. I think it may be technical issue like the Milliamps or the Mha number. Guess its back to buying regular batteries.

Snow is tapering off now, the radar shows it sputtering out heading east to CLT. Atleast there was a nice coating, it actually wasn't dendrites but graupel I think. Temp is 33

thanks, sure is nice to see. I have a nice start to a coating. Went to get the digital cam out of the truck, dead batteries. Then put in 2 sets of other batteries, of course non worked more than enough to open the lens. And those were just charged a few days ago. Anyone know of really good rechargeable batteries. All I'm buying now are junk, and don't hold charges. The original Kodak set of batteries that came with it were the best I've had , but they're 3 years old now , all the new sets I'm buying are good for the electric razor, but won't last but a couple minutes in the cam. Any advice?

I got the energizer- silver, green, yellow colored that re-charge the aa and aaa from wallyworld and they do pretty dang good. My old set of kodak rechargeables are terrible now too.

thats exactly what I've got, and the charger from there also. They work great for the electric razor, not the cam.

AA I think I'll try Tony's advice of his online brand.

You'll find the typical alkaline battery to be terrible for a digital camera. They simply do not have the high drain energy density that a NImH battery does. Honestly if you've had trouble with all brands of NImH rechargable batteries with the cam, I'm almost starting to suspect the cam itself has an issue. You might try buying some lithium batteries for it, and see if they work, as they have better high-drain capacity. Almost ANY NiMH battery should work fine in a standard digital camera.

As for my conditions, i've hit around 16F, with moderate to heavy TINY snow flakes coming down right now. Roads are covering back up quickly, over top of the nice, crusty ice that is over much of the blacktop around here. Sure to be a fantastic morning for those who have to drive anywhere.

You got a mean camera! Lol Could be the camera not liking the newer type batteries....that's for us non technological folks for incompatible i guess.

Now back to this system, is she lifting off and pulling all the RH and moisture away from NeGa and NW SC as i think?

very light flurries falling here! Only noticed them when I went to let the dog out.

On a side note, I went to the Panthers game today (to cheer the Falcons to victory) and actually had a little sleet fall during the 3rd quarter. It was weird because the temp was in the mid 40's, I guess that is just a sign of how cold it is above us.

Awesome man. We use to have a game and the game was won by who could stay outside (in boone) the longest when the temp was below 15 with no shirt on........

Good times!

Picked up about 2" in the past couple of hours...forecast is for 1-3", so that may have to be upped if this continues. Temp continues to crash--down to 16 bone-chilling degrees now.
