I thought I heard a sleet on the range exhaust cover but I could've been mistaken. Down to 35 right now and not fit for man nor beast with that wind!! Yikes. I had to go cook some supper for the family..haven't much since the burst earlier that coated my deck, just some strays passing by the street lights. got a feeling it's pretty much over and on to the upslope event now. Stay warm tonight folks!

jshetley
Still not the first flake or sleet pellet here this winter. Maybe something on Thursday. And from reading the board it looks as if I'm almost the last one to have not had anything at all yet.

Nomad
Feeling shafted... In the middle of foothills 3"+ with about 1/4". Doesn't look like the snow coming in from Nashville will hold up well either. Living in Kingsport, I should be used to this by now.

kvskelton
Light snow showers off and on in Church Hill, TN. Just got back in and the roads inside the town are covered with light snow/ice. Tracks are visible but it definitely has an icy sheen to it. Ground has a dusting. School's been called off already for tomorrow (Hawkins Co.), so my kids are happy! Temp is 25 and the wind is brisk. Gonna be a "4 layer" couple of days for those of us working outside!
FoothillsNC
:thumbsup:Finally! much deserved!! :snowman:CONGRATS thanks, sure is nice to see. I have a nice start to a coating. Went to get the digital cam out of the truck, dead batteries. Then put in 2 sets of other batteries, of course non worked more than enough to open the lens. And those were just charged a few days ago. Anyone know of really good rechargeable batteries. All I'm buying now are junk, and don't hold charges. The original Kodak set of batteries that came with it were the best I've had , but they're 3 years old now , all the new sets I'm buying are good for the electric razor, but won't last but a couple minutes in the cam. Any advice?
Stovepipe
Remember as recent as a couple of nights ago people on here were posting FAIL train pics? Hahahaha! My buddy in Franklin, TN says it is a huge mess there. Accidents left and right. TDOT cameras in Nashville look disgusting. Edit: The latest OHX AFD: Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 6 am CST Monday... this evening...snow continues to fall over much of middle Tennessee. Hickman and Dickson counties have reported 3 to 5 inches. The remainder of the area has 1 to 2 inches with more expected. Travel conditions were becoming dangerous due to formation of black ice. Temperatures had fallen into the lower 20s and along with gusty west winds were producing wind chills in the single digits. Expect conditions to continue through the evening with additional snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches.

Any advice? Robert, I've bought on line from Tenergy when they have specials and had good luck. They seem to have batteries for everything. I use them in my remotes tv and weather, cameras, mice, keyboards, boombox, clocks, etc. They can stand some weather for the whole winter, and take charge after charge, and I think I've been buying the midrange stuff. That said this was maybe two years since I've had to buy some and they may not be the same now. Caveat Emptor. Tony

(yeah...we country here) I haven't seen a flake yet...thought I heard a sleet though...LOL That system mid-week will surely deliver. Murphy's Law will kick in and the kid driving up to visit us from FLA will have to delay his trip. For the past two years this has been the case.
