MotoWeatherman
What's strange is very little on the radars at your location? It's all originating below 700mb because the radar beam is at about 9,000ft by the time it reaches my location.

LithiaWx
It's been flurries/light snow here all day in Marietta, GA. (NW ATL Suburbs). I was just out and the heaviest snow of the day is currently falling. We already have a light dusting on the ground, looking to pick up a tad more with the band moving through now. Very happy to be seeing it today!

If it continues, it will be interesting around here in an hour or so. Edit: Looks like some sort of lee trough has developed??? Maybe Foothills can comment. I was talking with SBUWX and he was noticing what could be an 850 trough that could help us out. Looks like some returns appearing in NW SC. DaculaWeather
Actually, after that really good burst, the clouds thinned out some. I think it's slowly starting to play out. I'm beginning to wonder how much snow some of you in SW NC are going to get.

Things are just getting started IMO. Wind chill: 18 F. Very light snow/flurries now with temperature at 25 F and wind at 10 mph. We have a very light dusting here at the moment. Talked with a friend who lives in northwestern part of county and they seemed to have done better than me. Look for things to pick up for us in the overnight hours. Really nice fetch of moisture up in middle Tennessee headed right for us.....just don't think it can make down to our area with the mtns in between. Hopefully we can get under just the right band and have a nice dusting.
DaculaWeather
That was interesting watching the humidity and DP rising while it was snowing and now falling as it's dried out. I noticed it rising before it started snowing, I guess I need to watch it closer!
