Man it's frustrating to be sitting here still at 44 while atlanta, gainesville, etc are at or below freezing already. There has been some passing light rain in the last few minutes. Problem is due to topography surface CAA is being delayed here. Surface winds here aren't that strong so there isn't a lot of caa near the surface...even though clouds are moving fast.

Seems like the real surge of cold air runs from just east of gainesville down to winder. West of that line, temps in the low to mid 30s, east of that line in the low 40s.

Radar looks pretty good though and it makes you wonder if there will be a widespread dusting, especially over the western half

From what I can tell the FROPA should be occurring near CLT now. Perhaps after it passes if I put a humidifier outside I can make some snow. Otherwise no dice here. 48 and rain this morning.

its cleared me, the winds are up, and the low clouds are screaming by with the air feeling much drier now, and colder.

Woo hop finally! Getting some flakes. It is cold and windy to say the least.

This area is starting to light up under cyclonic flow ahead of the stil digging 5H feature in western Kentucky. So in Alabama, deep into Ga as well, and through Tennessee eastern half, the snow shield is expanding pretty rapidly, lots of scatterd snow showers some of which will put down accumulations.
