Picked up about 3/4 inch of wet snow this morning. Reports of 5-6 inches in higher elevations. Even some low spots just to my east over in Scot county came in with over 2 inches! The Models for the most part were a little too warm aloft in their forecast for this one. They did have areas to our East along the spine of the Apps cold enough. Evaporative cooling no doubt played a part in this, as it seems the models always have a problem .

Hoping we can see a little bit of flurry action later tonight... for now, steady rain, 43.9 degrees and a dew point of 43. From NWS Raleigh:

Tonight: A chance of rain showers before 8pm, then a slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind between 11 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
