Lee
Picked up about 3/4 inch of wet snow this morning. Reports of 5-6 inches in higher elevations. Even some low spots just to my east over in Scot county came in with over 2 inches! The Models for the most part were a little too warm aloft in their forecast for this one. They did have areas to our East along the spine of the Apps cold enough. Evaporative cooling no doubt played a part in this, as it seems the models always have a problem . oconeexman
Just one last pic from the morning snow. Up to 34 here now, and foggy. Had a mist of rain earlier, but nothing melted! That could mean ice on the roads later today. By far one of the BEST pictures i've seen in a while!!

chapelhillwx
Hoping we can see a little bit of flurry action later tonight... for now, steady rain, 43.9 degrees and a dew point of 43. From NWS Raleigh: Tonight: A chance of rain showers before 8pm, then a slight chance of snow. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. West wind between 11 and 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
eyewall
From what I can tell the FROPA should be occurring near CLT now. Perhaps after it passes if I put a humidifier outside I can make some snow. Otherwise no dice here. 48 and rain this morning.
Buddy
Flizzard conditions have ensued here. Sitting right at 32F, now, so things should start to get nice on the roads. Here's hope that some of that wraparound makes it to us.
