I've almost exclusively focused on nowcasting and short range. I'd bet I'm as good as just about anyone on those things. I barely understand stuff like the QBO etc. I'm slowly trying to learn but it's not a top priority. I guess I should just play the avg with a little ENSO mixed in.

I can't see DCA being anything but a couple inches within average. I went with 19.5". No reason to guess low. I would have gone a few inches above average at IAD.

I guessed a little over 14".

I guessed 14.2 as my guess for the winter is 11-16 so I sort of picked a number within that range. Anyone forecasting above normal and hitting is going strongly against climo. we have lots more years below the average than above. Still I bet around the average and a little above the median which makes me a stupid optimist.
