Mr Torchey
wow how quickly things change, just went out to the store, winds are cranking out of the due north, moderate snow sticking on all surfaces and very ice outside.

SBUWX23
Maybe we can have a pro answer? But what's going on with this CCB for NYC ? nothing, the cold conveyor belt (ccb) is doing what it should be. There is deformation snows all the way back into eastern PA. Eventually it will come and eject out but it will be long in the tooth to an extent once that occurs.

earthlight
Getting hit hard here right now. Although I will say the snow growth must be poor---it's not snowing as hard as it could be given the radar reflectivities.
Ericjcrash
I think NYC will pretty much be dryslotted throughout. The radar to the west showing a shrinking precip shield and not really moving anywhere.

Let's see.The problem is, even the peeps in the CCB are saying that isn't snowing that hard. Bottom line, this is likely not going to be as impactful for folks closer to the city. BUT, it IS 10/29, so no bust calls from this weenie.
