psv88
Moderate to heavy snow now. you sure? looks like its raining outside to me. Worst CCB in history. Good night boys, its been fun. Seen my first october snow! Final Report. West Central nassau. 1.5 inches slush currently, 34 and slop. and the winds failed to verify, maybe a few gusts to 40 thats it. Brian5671
Disappointing 2nd half of the storm here, but a good day overall...got 3-4 inches in a couple of hours, and then light stuff after that--currently
Alpha5
99% sure that the 13.2" spotter report out of Danbury is complete BS Too high or too low? The thing is, a lot of what fell either melted or compacted so that the ground is not really representative of accumulation. I have 9.5" total, but 3 of that melted.....temps are still slightly above freezing
Jaguars
as of 8pm 1.3 inches. 4.2 at ewr same time. Thx, sounds like the same amount from early this afternoon. Guess not much since then
BxEngine
Incredible....as of now my low temp for the day (32 on the nose) was at 2:26 pm. The difference in elevation was huge here, and only minor elevation changes (125-500 feet) went from 4 or so inches up to atleast 8 or 9, though compaction and melting made it impossible to measure. It looks like an ice storm hit here....trees and wires are everywhere.
Mr Torchey
Disappointing 2nd half of the storm here, but a good day overall...got 3-4 inches in a couple of hours, and then light stuff after that--currently 33 its absolutely ripping snow right now
SnoSki14
Great start to the storm with an early changeover, it got very heavy around noon, that's when I picked up most of my accumulation, then it generally died down after 3 with on and off light snow to more moderate snows with a little bit more accumulation. If this was your average winter snowstorm, I would give it a C- for rather low accumulations, marginal temperatures, and a disappointing CCB. However, for an Oct/Nov snowstorm, it gets an A- because who in their right mind would think we would ever get accumulating snows in the NYC metro/central NJ area on October 29. I'm still waiting for that magical 32 mark though, haven't hit it yet this autumn, great chance of going below it tomorrow night.

psv88
upon further review...it is all snow here when i stepped outside, its only sticking to the old slush...from the looks of the radar it should be much heavier than this...still very impressed, streets are slushy, grass is covered, oct 29. not too shabby. Next week lets shoot for
