DarthDoppler
#7 Notice the little ruler sticking out if you look closely. Should have put it in the grass, but you don't have to shovel your yard. Car would have looked much more impressive if I hadn't had worked until 2:15 on the 29th. (then had to clear it and drive)

Big Blue
Pic from West End Allentown from yesterday (10/29). The branches breaking sounded like gunshots and the house shock a few times when they hit the ground. Much more damging then the hurricane...this is right in front of our house! Big Blue
Pics of the "War Zone" in front of our house today (10/30), West Allentown. Probably "only" got about 6-7 inches of very wet snow but those old Norway Maples (60 years old) couldn't take it:

Thunder Road
Hey T-Road, my final was 2.8" - at least an inch of that was sleet Ok thanks. Nice to see we match up, since I think Somerton only reported 1.3" and that guy is usually high.

famartin
Very nice. I'm guessing the pictures toward the end were on your drive to higher elevations yesterday? Yes, though "higher" is relative... only up to around 400 feet ASL or so (my parents are at 100 feet).

famartin
Amazing the difference in a few hundred feet. Yes, reports from that area (northern Hopewell Township and the Amwells) indicated double what I had... 6-7 inches.
Rainshadow
absolutely gorgeous morning for a some trekking through neighboring Langhorne, was like the dead of winter 1st thing with the nearly 3" of slop frozen solid, maybe a once in a lifetime cobination snow / near peak leaves locally Carl, Absolutely gorgeous pics, I'd say once in a lifetime (and maybe be wrong). My colleague was trying to find a comparable event in Ludlum's NJ Weather book which goes back to the 1700s and couldn't. Its kind of ironic that the "new normals" dropped PHL's snow for October to zero, well scratch that one.

Parsley
Tombo, do you guys have your own crew to clean that mess up, or do you have to shell out the $$$$ for cleanup? Either way, that stinks.

Either way, that stinks. we have a crew and a chipper. We can prob clean up about half to three quarters of the damage but the other stuff we will have to get our tree guys in to take care of the hangers and big stuff. It just sucks, cause we were in the middle of aerating fairways on top of all the other stuff and now that gets pushed back cause of this storm.
