I'm wondering the same thing. Inside 128 getting in on some good snows now. Definitely some ocean enhancement going on. Breaking up over Ray in between bands axesmiley.png (Poor Ray)

ORH to RAY was def the relative screw zone compared to expectations. That said, we still all will meet the low-mid range of most forecasts. So its really only a screw zone compared to other obscene amounts, not forecasts.

To be reading and experiencing this in late October is unbelievable:

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TAUNTON MA 1036 PM EDT SAT OCT 29 2011 CTZ002-MAZ002-003-008>011-NHZ011-015-300600- HARTFORD CT-WESTERN FRANKLIN MA-EASTERN FRANKLIN MA- WESTERN HAMPSHIRE MA-WESTERN HAMPDEN MA-EASTERN HAMPSHIRE MA- EASTERN HAMPDEN MA-CHESHIRE NH- WESTERN AND CENTRAL HILLSBOROUGH NH- INCLUDING THE CITIES OF...HARTFORD...WINDSOR LOCKS...CHARLEMONT... GREENFIELD...ORANGE...CHESTERFIELD...BLANDFORD...AMHERST... NORTHAMPTON...SPRINGFIELD...JAFFREY...KEENE...PETERBOROUGH... WEARE 1036 PM EDT SAT OCT 29 2011 ...TRAVEL IS NOT RECOMMENDED TONIGHT ACROSS SOUTHWEST NEW HAMPSHIRE...WESTERN MASSACHUSETTS AND NORTH CENTRAL CONNECTICUT... BANDS OF HEAVY SNOW CONTINUED TO FALL ACROSS THE REGION AS OF 10 PM...WITH SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 3 INCHES PER HOUR. THE HEAVY WET SNOW WILL RESULT IN TREE DAMAGE AND WIDESPREAD POWER OUTAGES. THE INTENSITY OF THE SNOW WILL BEGIN TO DIMINISH AFTER MIDNIGHT. THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SITUATION AS THE HEAVY ACCUMULATION OF SNOW WILL MAKE SOME ROADS IMPASSABLE OVERNIGHT...AND DOWNED TREES WILL BLOCK SOME ROADWAYS. THERE MAY ALSO BE LIVE WIRES DOWN. NON-ESSENTIAL TRAVEL IS HIGHLY DISCOURAGED TONIGHT.

The DS and more shallow lift got close to ORH but never quite made it. Willfred will make out well given his elevation. Overall the accumulations over ern areas will probably work out ok. Still got several hours to go.

Hope you're right...I am pretty disappointed so far. I know its October and all but man if we could just get that band that is out west...
