I want to not believe the PNS reports, but they are real. I'd like to know about that 31.4, but I suppose it was real given the banding there.

It was the Jaffrey COOP too so it should have more credence over a general public report. I can't imagine people getting a foot more than what I got. Just insane.

Just got a 3g signal back, cell towers must have been down or had to be switched to generator?

Lost power for good around 10pm. 40% of Greenfield down but hill towns are 100% out.

At 2am we had around 14-15" which has settled to about 12".

Last night was nuts with trees snapping sounding like gunfire every 2 minutes or less. SN/SN+ from 4pm to about 2am.

Absolute devastation out here. Trees down everywhere. Yard is trashed, can't get out back door right now due to big maple branch.

Wind just starting to gust, thankfully it was calm last night.

Greenfield DPW guy said it is surreal all around Franklin Co. War zone were his words.

Thankfully I've got wood stove and a 10kw generator.

I'll try to get pics up later.

glad you made it okay. I just looked at the wmeco outage map and seems 74% of G'field (and springfield0 are out. I lost it for about 5 minutes at 11:30 last nighit. Since our lines come up through Greenfield (I think), I'm shocked I still have power.

Thankfully a complete non event here, and one of the most incredible busts of all time, nws as late as 430 pm upped snow to 10-14 inches reality was 1.5 in the intitial band, zero accumulations from the non existant deform.

Thank God, life goes on as normal here...............everyone be safe up north, and Thankfully we have a very warm beginning to November which will really help those out who have lost power.

currently have my computer, modem, and cell phone hooked up to the car battery from my dads '68 mustang lol.

Measured this morning, had 18"...I'm sure there was some compaction. The power outages are nuts. Just about this whole part of the state is out, and even at school where they only got 8" or so we apparently don't have power. Ugh.

Just got back from skiing Wachusett...I would say there is about 15" at the base there, and about 2 feet at the top...I skied on my rock skis (unnecessary), which are only 76mm at the waist so it was a struggle at times. Still great to get out though!

It blows my mind. The power of banding. I need a 24 hr loop of that.

That was TEXTBOOK single band domination. It was actually a perfect mid level evolution for an interior New England snowstorm.

Matched up well with 600mb frontogenesis, which is what we were talking about earlier.

There were actually 700mb vectors converging on each other rather strongly to line up the frontogenesis.

Dude......the fire chief told kevin 15-20 days without power possibly.

impressive, well to be fair he has been asking for total devestation for years, he finally got it. I am sure he will find a place to put his wife and girls, somewhere warm. Scooter let him know that I will pick them up and they can stay with me for as long as they want..........Im sure many of the members here will open there doors to those in need.

Thank God its going to get warm!
