noctilucent
About 4 inches in Warrington, PA as of about 5 PM. Some branches down. Power still on but being out and about saw several areas without power and we had a couple brown-outs.. Roads were quite bad and traffic in the early afternoon was REALLY bad given many were caught by surprise and there were lots of old people and soccer moms overwhelmed by the sudden deterioration of the conditions. By 3 PM the aforementioned terrified parties were off the roads and heading home was much easier. Still snowing moderately at 32.1 degrees with light NE wind. famartin
2.8" in Ewing as of 6PM... approaching the middle of my forecast range. During the lull a lot fell or melted off of the trees, so that saved us a worse disaster. Now its gradually re-accumulating.

Boch23
Rain/snow right now. Hard to measure I guess were at about an inch.Hard to tell and if you step on the snow it turns into a slushy mess. Should have cut the grass yesterday but really cutting the grass is the last thing i think about when it snows.
famartin
The EC was implying that the deformation zone wouldn't be quite as prolific as the NAM had been suggesting. I guess I'm not completely surprised it doesn't seem to be going NAM-like nuts.

hazwoper
Just about 5" now and still coming down at a moderate clip. Changeover at 9am really helped us here as we were in some pretty intense bands early on during the day. 31.
Akeem the African Dream
I am reminded by Hurricane Charley tonight with all the blue lights flashing in the sky. There is a silver lining to all the tree damage. Your "tree canopy" is being thinned out. The damage that is done tonight will help prevent future damage from occuring to the power grid this winter when you have an ice storm.
