I went outside to take a look at what was going on and had to come right back in. It was too dangerous with branches falling everywhere. A huge branch fell on our deck and three others fell on our front lawn.

SnoSki14
Look at the DIX radar...echoes aligning and streaming southwest to northeast...a mid winter developing CCB signature. Unreal. And it looks to be happening as the sun goes down, which makes accumulation even more likely/faster everywhere. But we'll see who gets screwed and who wins soon enough. dbc
This is incomprehensible. Unbelievable what we are witnessing right now. Been all snow for hours here on the Cliffs of the Palisades on eastward right to the Hudson River and Manhattan. 3-4 inches easy here sticking to every surface. Moderate to heavy stuff right now. Winter storm Warnings are now up for every inch of Bergen county.
NorthShoreWx
Note warm layer around 750 mb Yup, see it now. Thanks Ray. To be honest, I didn't look today and was going by what I looked at from 0Z (and I didn't look at every hour either), so lots of room for me to have been wrong.
