Almost looks like a gravity wave off Atlantic City, NJ.

Appears that way. Most impressive is the convective type development associated with extreme lift. As this moves north the NAM and high res models have very impressive frontogenic forcing and deformation over a widespread area.

We are in a perfect position to receive a 3 hour blitz of snow with potentially near blizzard conditions in spots given the mid level centers and developing cold conveyor belt overhead. The warmer waters offshore will surely help to create a more robust development.
