Some snowflakes mixing in at Port Jefferson at 2:12 PM; first snow of month and season...temperatures have been falling out at Upton since noon.

Last post before heading off to the RU game. 31F, snowing moderately, 3"of snow on the ground; roads slippery. 5 large branches down now and one of them brought down a phone or power line on our property, although oddly, we haven't lost power/cable/phone (only a 1/4 acre). Downed trees/power lines will be the legacy of this storm, in terms of impact. Hope the pivot prevents that dry slot from hitting here.

Where is the CCb gonba extend from do you guys think

We're beginning to see convective bands exploding over the Delmarva right now to our SW, and this is usually the onset of a more defined, strong deformation band developing. Over the next couple hours we'll see the transition from convective bursts to a steadier/heavier snowfall, from 4pm-8pm time frame. CCB should be oriented SW-NE from PHL-NYC area in a few hours.
