RU848789
OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a huge tree just came crashing down right outside my house and is blocking my stairs, if i walked out 20 seconds before i would not be here right now. and this is only 2"!!! We have about 2.5" here and we have 5 major branches down on our property (only 1/4 acre) already. Seriously, this is a big risk for folks - I recall a guy getting killed in CPK last winter by a falling limb. Snow not falling as heavily now, but more to come... JonClaw
Richmond Hill, NY: Snow is sticking easily to roofs and cars, no measurable amounts in the driveway yet, but it is sticking. All in all, this storm so far has completely blind-sided me and will shock a lot of others if the short-term models pan out...
CAT5ANDREW
Classic. During Irene,I came within 45 seconds of having 2 trees and a streetlamp potentially fall onto the car as a tornado came through.Only a red light saved me.A storm like this is going to do a lot of tree damage with falling tree limbs fallng onto cars. bluewave
Even an inch or 2 on the trees and the wind is going to cause some serious damage tonight, It won't take much with all the leaves still on the trees. Then will have to contend with the strong winds later as the low really winds up offshore.
