In these situations some one has to be odd man out...and that's me as rain continues to fall heavily out here...not unexpected...with Sound temperatures beween 59 and 61....and an October air mass in place...just a little too much to overcome....

1.3" in Ewing at 100 feet AMSL as of 1PM. Snowing moderate to heavy with 0.9" in the last hour. Already starting to hear large branches snap in the woods behind the house.

I am listing to the FDNY Manhattan fire radio and they are reporting that at least one person has been struck by a branch in central park with numerous branches falling. One of the battalion chiefs just asked to contact to parks department to close the park.

Same here, haven't seen a flake mix in yet. Though most models seems to indicate we will be ripping for at least a little while later as the deform band crosses over most of LI west of Riverhead.

I do think there could be a period of snow out here tonight..say after 10 PM or so...leaving maybe a quick inch.
