Buckeye05
This event certainly surpassed a lot of expectations. TOG on that SE GA cell. Geez, just when you think things are winding down.
on_wx
This event certainly surpassed a lot of expectations. TOG on that SE GA cell. The "continue to track a tornado" is quite misleading and can be the equivalent of "continued to indicate a possible tornado". Judging by radar it likely nothing is on the ground. metalicwx366
We had the line of thunderstorms with the Severe Thunderstorm Warning move through like half an hour ago and its still going crazy outside with the rain, wind, and lightning. This rain is much needed here.

SouthernNJ
What looks like a possible tornado signature north and east of the Durham area now from a fast moving discrete storm. (944 EST Raleigh loop). Edit: Ok, looks like they got it at the same time I did.

Voyager
Sitting here in Kingsland GA awaiting the line of storms. I'm on my phone so I don't have access to a lot of info. I know there is a Tornado Watch here, but how bad have things been 'upstream' and what can I expect here?
tornadotony
Four fatalities so far makes it the deadliest fall tornado outbreak since 10/18/07 (5 fatalities).
andyhb
I am a little surprised that the SPC didn't raise tornado probs at 1630z or more realistically 20z considering what was already ongoing at the time. SRV shows nice couplet on that tornado warned storm in Northern NC.

SouthernNJ
1003 EST Raleigh Radar shows interesting hook echo on reflectivity display...not to mention a decent circulation. This storm better weaken before reaching Roanoke Rapids...the last thing needed is another populated area being hit.
chapelhillwx
ABC 11 cut in around 9:45 to talk about the cell in the middle of nowhere (the newscaster couldn't pronounce the names of the towns) and hasn't stopped since. This is a little excessive... looks like someone just likes to hear themselves talk.

MotoWeatherman
You know the weather is dull across the county with the SE Thread has been hijacked from "outsiders". LOL....just kidding. SouthernNJ
Wakefield may want to contemplate a warning for their first county soon.

Glad yall are here tonight participating in the action. Looks like the couplet has weakened quite a bit. They got lucky. LOL very boring here indeed. We were supposed to get strong tornadoes 2 days ago and we had not a single report of one. The worst tornadoes that day were in New York, and they weren't even in the SPC outlook area lol. andyhb
Tornado warning back up for the Roanoke Rapids cell. At least 16 tornado reports thus far. 24 between today and yesterday. SouthernNJ
Wakefield may want to contemplate a warning for their first county soon. I was hoping they would have either issued the SVR earlier or just gone straight to a TOR, but they waited to see if the storm was weakening before choosing an SVR, only to move back up two scans later. NEXRAD is a great tool, but still leaves a few minutes of key scanning time in the dark for storms.
WeatherNC
RN and wind here @ PGV, wind somewhat variable ATM, gusting close to 30... Looks like we dodged a bullet here in Eastern NC, MCS type worked through just to the south while the best mid and upper level support are going by just to the north. Good deal, could have used the RN, but happy with the <quarter inch we are likely going to get. sent from my iPhone
Buckeye05
Wow this storm weakened just before hitting RR, then redeveloped on the other side of the town. The new rotation doesn't look terribly strong to me, let's hope it stays that way.
