nchighcountrywx
Unfortunatley it now looks like the Thanksgiving weekend ski season is lost in the NC High Country. I will have to go back and check to be sure, but I think at least a few slopes have beem open each Thanksgiving since 2003. It is going to be hard to get down a base until sometime in early to mid December.

mikepie
has anyone heard anything about damage near Dunwoody? Looking at that image of the doppler in Gwinnett County makes me nervous. LithiaWx
has anyone heard anything about damage near Dunwoody? Looking at that image of the doppler in Gwinnett County makes me nervous. I live very close to Perimeter Mall where the strongest rotation passed close by. I was on the phone with my fiance who was in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs when the storm passed. She said it rained very hard for a while then let up but then it got windy with no rain at all. She was outside and I could hear things hitting cars and the building she was in. The trees were bending wildly and were losing lots of branches and other stuff. She said no structural damage but it did get pretty scarey for a minute or so.
