Gastonwxman
Had some heavy rain earlier this morning but no thunderstorm to speak of. Up to .84" and under cloudy skies. It looks like the clouds are attempting to break here so I may be clearing out later on, though it appears I've got another shower that's ready to come through. Then it looks to be about it for a while before the main storm line pushes in.

NavarreDon
GSP more concerned about severe with a midday AFD update. Be careful all! .NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... -- Changed Discussion --NO SIGNIFICANT CHANGES FROM PREVIOUS UPDATE. FCST GENERALLY ON TRACK...BUT DID BUMP HIGHS DOWN A COUPLE OF DEGREES ACROSS MOST OF THE CWFA. NUMEROUS SHOWERS AND ISOLATED STORMS WILL SPREAD BACK INTO THE AREA THRU THE AFTERNOON. BECOMING INCREASINGLY CONCERNED ABOUT SEVERE WX POTENTIAL THIS AFTERNOON. MDL CAPE HAS BEEN INCREASING EACH RUN AND THE 12Z FFC RAOB HAS ALMOST 1000 J/KG WITH TEMP/DEW POINT OF A VERY REACHABLE 72/66 DESPITE MODEST LAPSE RATES. BULK SHEAR OF 50 KTS OR BETTER STILL EXPECTED GIVEN OBSERVED WINDS THIS MORNING. HELICITY VALUES ARE EXPECTED TO BE QUITE HIGH AS WELL EVEN WITH THE NEARLY UNI-DIRECTIONAL WINDS. WITH THE RELATIVELY HIGH INSTABILITY FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR...CONVECTIVE MODE MAY BE MORE OF A HYBRID SUPERCELL REGIME THAN SOLELY A QLCS SCENARIO. THEREFORE...THE THREAT OF TORNADOES AND WIND DAMAGE HAS INCREASED FROM THE EARLIER THINKING.
