CoastalWx
Another player enters the game at hr 132 over Nebraska. It might energize the low down the road.

Tropopause_Fold
very active flow on the GFS but everything is shunted S and E thanks to the quasi-stationary ULL pinwheeling around the Northeast / GL. this run leaves a lot of dry, cold westerly flow. Tropopause_Fold
if we could just get some snow on the ground - it certainly wouldn't be going anywhere with this kind of pattern painted on the GFS.
Tropopause_Fold
if you believe the GFS there are numerous s/w to pay attention to. hopefully one or two or all of them would fight back against the flow over the northeast and get some moisture up into new england. Damage In Tolland
We're really gonna need the Euro to come back to it's 12 z solution from yesterday. If it's out to sea again today..that's trouble Who cares what the GFS shows

Its also preventing us from seeing that vortmax rotate down to us on Wed night....so there is a lower chance for snow now during that period. If it's out to sea again today..that's trouble Who cares what the GFS shows It doesn't really matter for another four days what anything shows. Well, I guess it matters what the Euro shows for the energy moving through the MA later this week.

Yeah it pumps up the ridge over the se just enough to prevent it from coming south on the gfs.
weathafella
Only problem is the Euro also trended that way No it didn't. If 12Z says so then fine but on Saturday, 12Z was a bomb and 0Z was nada. Yesterday 12Z was a bomb and 0Z was nada. Let's see what 12Z brings. Getting a day closer. Tropopause_Fold
12z GEFS actually gets some light snow into new england from the midweek wave edit: in fact, they have weak low pressure developing SE of ACK so there's got to be a few members that are more amped with that energy coming out of the plains. there were a couple of sref members that kissed the south coast with precip as well. 40/70 Benchmark
Little bit of residual snow banks still around near the Lake Sunapee area of NH.....but it they dissapeared once I descended in elevation a bit on my approach to the CT river valley. Probably had about a 2-3" sf in the vicinity of the higher terrain around Sunapee....

40/70 Benchmark
My guess is that the EURO will not let go of that OTS notion and that it has generally locked onto to the right idea, but who knows....as Mike alluded to, better than yesterday's 12z EURO as far as I'm concerned. Tropopause_Fold
fwiw...12z GEFS has a pretty strong signal between 144-160...under 1004...SE of the BM by a good deal but precip well into SNE so figure there some amped up members in there.
