didn't see this posted yet, but the giants are stuck in kansas city until later today at the earliest and might not get out 'til tomorrow morning.

the game is a noon kickoff. hopefully, the vikes will get a travel-weary team.

Welp, there's at least a 50/50 chance I don't see any accumulating snow from this system, and better than even shot that if I do, it'll be less than 1" then washed away by the rain.

It's been a very demoralizing winter and a half here on the western shores of Lake Ontario. I continue to hope that my reward for this horrible stretch of weather is not too far off in the distance.

With the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans battling it out (Atlantic signal says storm should be south of us, while Pacific says hold on.), yoiu sometimes get weird looking storms, such as the current one. You either cash in big time (IA, MN, WI, MI, central Ontario) or are out luck (upstate NY and the north shores of Lake Ontario and Erie).

But despite this, I'm 100 percent sure this winter will not be a repeat of last winter.

La Crosse AFD:

IT IS LIKELY THAT 20 INCH REPORTS WILL BE

AROUND...POSSIBLY MORE...BY SUNDAY IN THAT REGION FROM KRST-KMDZ AND

NW.

OTHER OBSERVATIONAL DATA OF IMPORTANCE CONCERNS THE WIND FIELD ON THE

WEST SIDE OF THIS LOW CENTER. WOOD LAKE MN PROFILER HAS 55KT 925MB

WIND AT 19Z AND SURFACE REPORTS WEST OF THE LOW...IN THE STRONGEST

PRESSURE GRADIENT ARE GUSTING FROM 35-45 KTS. THESE GUSTS HAVE BEEN

FOR MANY HOURS IN THAT AREA. THE TROUBLING ISSUE FROM A PUBLIC

IMPACT STANDPOINT...IS THESE WINDS ARE ACCOMPANIED BY ACCUMULATING

SNOW. THE 511 MN SITE SHOWS SWRN MN ROAD SYSTEM COMPLETELY CLOSED TO

TRAVEL AND WHITEOUT IS WIDESPREAD.
