ThreeRedheads
Just heard two large tree branches snap in about a 2 minute period. The loud cracks were wild to hear from across the yard, like low volume gun shots. 3" otg with the heaviest snow of the day falling now. Craig, DO you have any ice buildup on the tree limbs? You are welcome to 17 inches of heavy wet water laden snow I love plain rain today Trees are just fine here in Dale City as the precip moves away from us. Ellinwood
Was all rain for awhile before and just after the dry slot... all sleet/snow now (with snow on the increase) and winds are picking up in Germantown.

jnis
I was just outside and it was raining/ sleeting. Suddenly, fog rolled in and then rapidly cleared. As soon as it cleared it began snowing again. This all happened in the course or 3 or 4 minutes. Very cool.

Chase
Uh oh! Any damage? Don't think so. The gutter looks in tact, too. Many more are on the brink. This is the fourth branch down in the front yard. The back yard is a forest, so no telling what's going on back there.
Sparky
Jim Cantore in Harrisburgh just had thundersnow experience. His 4th live on the air he said.
WVclimo
Craig, DO you have any ice buildup on the tree limbs? Most of the limbs have a couple inches of heavy wet snow accumulation. The leaves on the branches hanging down are coated in a thin layer of icy slush.
mdhokie
nothing but rain here at BWI. Now it looks like we are dry slotted. BUST.

Kmlwx
Last time I checked this was an obs thread, so why dont you take your sh** attiitude and go back over to 40south. I swear some of the old time posters during this early snow thread are just downright rude. Not really that big of a bust if at all. BWI was always in question. Yea, part of that was sarcasm, I was hoping for a couple flakes at least. NWS had 1-2" in the forecast last night. Still doesn't excuse the rude reply. Bob Chill
I like what I see on the last couple of frames: http://www.marylandwx.com/radar/lwx/flashklwxstatebr.php Dryslot to the E and it does look like some backside bands will form as everything keeps pulling away. That's my only chance as seeing some good flakes anyway.

ThreeRedheads
This doesn't compare to the obs from out west, but it's an indication of what's happening in parts of W Fairfax. You can hear the sleet.
