Ian
I think radar is ok....I can't imagine we shut off before 3pm it could be better but it could be worse. as usual we're probably a little too far south to cash in better on a mature storm backside.. doesnt matter the month. Ian
Radar is looking a little more convective in the forming tail. And stuff up NW of there toward trixieville nice too. Quality winter look.
TalcottWx
disagree.... Clearly a nice big punch of dry air coming in Why so whiny this morning?
Kmlwx
disagree.... Water vapor can be misleading at times because it doesn't necessarily show the moisture of the entire atmosphere. EDIT: this comment was aimed at bos

clskinsfan
Measured 4" exactly on the deck about 20 minutes ago. I am waiting for the end to take a final measure and a pic to verify. Wow. Doing a little better than me. Just over 3 inches here.
ThreeRedheads
Still at 33. Not sure if we ever got below freezing. I'm satisfied that I got to see sleet and snow in October.

If the storm was pivoting over us and we had SN+ I'd be a lot more excited about it there's a reason people can be extremely strongly against anything more than a T in a place like DCA in the face of 100 runs of the nam... Oh yeah no doubt I definitely agree. I guess I was not being completely clear. The precip is more spotty behind the little punch than the nice band heavy rain and mixed sleet I have right now. Solo2
Unfortunately...the snow has just been too light to really amount to much here. Still pretty to look at it... Trying to keep things in perspective...it is October after all.

PhineasC
you might actually get in a period of decent snow later though not assured...I guess this is your 1st snowstorm? You've really taken a shine to this psychobabble routine.
