CoastalWx
So how can this bust?? Dryslot? Convection robbing some moisture? I don't really see a big bust potential at this time..though I can't rule out the DS or weird subsidence zones I suppose.

powderfreak
Yeah..I'm feeling good about this one. Not that I'll jackpot..but that I'll see 12+..Hopefully 11 of that is wet Your in the best spot IMO... With that said if I hear anyone down there complain about only getting 4-6 or you hill folk only end up with 7-8 somehow...you should be banned for complaining. This is October. Cold Miser
NWS service has me at snow/ rain today and tomorrow. Yesterday it showed Sunday as all snow. Am In a spot where I will see more rain than snow, or is that forecasting to cover all bases considering the general uncertainty? They actually have me ending as rain. ski MRG
28/28, no sun here, just a snow sky. Setting my expectations low, 8". If I get that I'll have an even 12" for the month of October which is a great start to the seasonal tally. These cold days and nights must be wiping out any positive temp departures this month. Good luck everyone.

Maybe a weenie in another. Hey... you asked what could go wrong? Ideally we flip to snow early in many areas in CT but it will take sometime. The difference is between 6" and 10" and either would be historic and damaging.
CT Rain
We're definitely advecting some dry air south in the boundary layer. Dew points have been dropping since I've gotten to work. Even HPN has a td of -3 now.

ski MRG
1-2pm. Perfect, thanks Scott. Hoping we do ok here. Of course I was unhappy to see a nudge east but I'm not totally discounting that this wrapped up system could tuck in a bit closer. Either way, off to a good start.
