HurricaneJosh
I use Chrome and today it upgraded or something, and now there are issues using this forum. Every time I load a new page, I get a yellow bar at the top saying "An additional plug-in is required to display some elements on this page." When I click "Install plug-in...", nothing happens. When I click "Problems installing?", I get some long, annoying page with lots of text, telling me to download plugins for Windows Media Player and Java. Inexplicably, the Windows Media Player plugin is for Firefox, which I don't even use. Any ideas why this is happening-- no matter what page I try to view on this forum? eekuasepinniW
Between this and the other bugs, Chrome appears to be as awful as IE9. Long live Firefox.
ThreeRedheads
I've been a big fan of Chrome for a long time, but there are so many bugs. Josh you may have two flash plug ins running, Try this: Go to the wrench in upper right hand corner Options Under the Hood Content Settings Plug In If you have two of the same version running, click on "disable" on one of them

I tried that and I'm not seeing any duplicates. So puzzling. I've actually never had a problem with Chrome up to now-- has worked like a charm for me. I did the steps which you listed, however, it doesn't appear I have multiple plug ins of the same version.
ThreeRedheads
Can you click on details in the upper right hand corner and post a screen cap? Also, do you know which version of chrome you're running?
weatherwiz
Can you click on details in the upper right hand corner and post a screen cap? Also, do you know which version of chrome you're running? I am running version 15.0.874.106 I clicked details in the upper right, it made the screen longer so I had to do 3 screen captures to catch everything:
ThreeRedheads
Ugh... I'm not sure how to help you. This seems to be an ongoing problem with Chrome. Sorry.

ThreeRedheads
That's happening to a lot of people. It's usually when there's a graphic on the page, at least in my experience. If you quickly scroll up and down when you notice it, it goes away. Not a permanent fix, but it does work. It might have been wiz who discovered the scrolling fix in another thread. AlexD
Full editor continues to be 'grayed out' for me... also the green 'loading' tab at the top of the posting page doesn't disappear. And in the quick reply window.....the text is in a very faint gray, and italicized for some reason....
HurricaneJosh
The issue I complained about has gradually gone away. It started appearing less and less frequently, and now I haven't seen it in a couple of days. Kind of weird-- as I've never seen a software bug resolve itself "gradually" like that. But whatevz.
