Zero accumulation from today. The lame duck winter continues. I'm somewhat amazed that in the two years I've been here so far, save probably one or two occasions, the predicted snowfall has never met the actual amount. Almost always the predictions are high, but they have run low on a couple of occasions. I almost think NWS in PIT should not handle this area as the climates are so different and even unpredictable. Then again there really aren't other options, I guess. I just find it perplexing never knowing what to actually expect.

I was all over the place today and I don't think I could find more than an inch anywhere I was at. Most areas I went through just had dustings or coatings on the grass. Just a little too warm today or maybe we would have accumulated 2 or 3 inches in most spots. It did have the feel of a late winter or early spring snow with the lack of accumulation.

I little better over here. I definitely did a little better because of elevation. I was downtown today and everything was just wet. Came home to about 1.5 inches mostly on the grassy areas and trees. Great snowball fight snow!

Well, I was pleasantly surprised when I got home from work. Had about .5 -1 inch on the ground. Enough snow to take my daughter sled riding and make a minature snowman lol. The pic was from the Greensburg area.

I'm up in new castle right now...looks like 2 inches or so already, and would imagine kpit is doing about the same...might meet low level warning criteria in some areas.

With the overall colder airmass associated with this system, I think a run at 5" by Sunday morning is possible.

The dentrite growth, especially with the Arctic front/wave, should be better than Wednesdays system.

Dendrite fixed.

Not much to add right now, everything is going to plan so far, decent snowfall rates at the moment.

1-2" here in mt lebo so far.

Once this current batch of snow moves through, and it's almost through now, it will depend on LES after this. Hopefully, we can get some development because there isn't much behind the front right now except up around Cleveland.

Yeah, we'll have to see how long the precip continues to backbuild.

Along with how many imbedded moderate bands develop.

I had about 2 inches as well here. From reading the Central PA thread we were lucky with the timeing as the light snow started shortly after sunset and the cold front went through earlier this monrong so we didn't lose much snnow to the sun.

Anyways, looks like some heavier bands are starting up within the lighter snow so it will be the classic setup if you get lucky enough to get stuck under a band for awhile you could really pick up some decent totals, otherwise probably anothe 1-2 at most.

The scenery was awesome this morning with everything snow covered. Feels good to have some winter weather around for a change.
