blackngoldrules
I now have a mix of sleet and snow. I picked up an inch of snow already too. You did better than me snow wise. I bet I'll have a heavier ice accumulation than you when all is said and done! Certainly not bragging about that, btw.

north pgh
Not giving up the ship yet. Still a mix but snow is picking up a little more. Visibility has come down again. I'd say 70% snow 30% sleet.

north pgh
Mostly sleet and Freezing rain now. Temp is holding at 21. I thought we would have snow til at least 4:00 am. Oh well, At least I can get some sleep now. I'll have to see how much ice and sleet I have when I wake up unless I change back to snow. Paweatherguy1
Man, I can tell that it is trying to thump here. Sleet, Freezing Rain, and Snow all mixed together...big flakes. If we can get maybe 2 or 3 hours at the end of this of heavy, inch an hour snow, that could save the event.

SteelCity08
Roads beginning to become snow covered again, whew! Pa, I noticed in the central thread you mentioned you were from Emsworth. I spent the winter of 09-10 there and have great memories. Its too bad I wasn't more active back then, maybe I would have had someone to on Feb 5-6th to enjoy my 5 hour hike with haha. Well, just moved in here this year...right on the Blvd. One thing I am learning is that it is not prime snow location in the city. I go from here, to my work in Cranberry, and usually Cranberry has an inch or two more of snow. Same at my parents house in West View.

But I would estimate I got an inch.....then probably about 4 hours of ice.....then another two inches Edit: I cleared off a branch and found about 1/8" of ice. Error on snow depth which says 80" Looks like the official total for the event will be up near 5". I think west of the city did better than east for this one due to a little less warm air which associated with the surface low.

Sorry you guys didn't get the snow. We knew it would probably split the county and it did. I ended up with 5 inches that I just had to shovel off the driveway. Almost took me an hour. Looking at the trees and pavements I ended up with no ice at all. Bad thing is I didn't get to see most of it fall. When I went to bed at 2:00 am I still had a light mix and maybe an fresh inch on the ground. The rest fell while I was sleeping. I just couldn't stay up.
