I swear I've seen this happen multiple times in this area with these types of storms. It starts out as snow for a very brief time then quickly changes to freezing rain. I honestly had a feeling this was going to happen just from past experience. They almost always underestimate the overriding warmer air and it changes over much quicker than forecasted. Oh well.
