I dare not post this in the main threads.........I have a hunch we do get flooded with pac air again. God I hope I'm wrong but it makes sense. The major teleconnections moved around a bit for the better but not good enough. NAO refuses to go negative and may not the entire winter for all we know. I can't get over the hunch that we regress back to a +ao/nao and crappy pacific again for a while. I'm just a weenie though so no shooting please.

I thought I'd head south and banter down here for a change.

Lol- a little cyber subforum vacation to cleanse the mind from a craptastic winter?

At least here your can lower your expectations. Where else can you have a 300 post thread about a 1" event that accumulated in less than one third of the subforum geography? Good times....good times...

I think a lot of people are bantering elsewhere now-a-days

welcome to our subforum, perhaps a little less whiny than yours

I tend to stick to the NNE thread... seldom find much whining in that one and it's nice to have the days developments fit into 1-2 pages instead of 30.

Indeed. Might continue the e-road trip down to the southeast forum tomorrow before heading out west.

Welcome, there is not much to banter about in our area unless you like suicide banter :axe: .

:santa:

I'm probably one of the very few here who is actually enjoying this winter. Seems like we've had more sunny days than usual, and definitely been warmer. It's great being able to go outside and take a walk in just a jacket. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not going to snow, I prefer it be like this.

Were gonna pay for this come spring.

Yeah, I think so too. The "pattern change" that has been discussed at various times since early November will probably finally arrive around March 10. I fully expect the latter half of March and all of April to be craptacular.

If it isn't going to be winter, I want records. 75+ or bust.

Ugh, no! I think these temps are perfect. Just a bit of a nip as I walk to work, but not too cold and it doesn't feel like May, but like a really long early spring. It kind of reminds me of winters when I lived in North Carolina.

Of course, I'd prefer to be reminded of winters when I lived in Syracuse, but I suppose one can't have everything.
