Bob Chill
Its only a matter of time till stratospheric warming saves us!! Ah ha! Good idea. Open up the donation portal again and lets buy him a one way ticket to the pole, 45 taco bell burritos, and a case of bic lighters.
mappy
Apparently, we can blame him for global warming and the decline in arctic sea ice too among other things..... well yeah, but mainly our winter

Bob Chill
I dare not post this in the main threads.........I have a hunch we do get flooded with pac air again. God I hope I'm wrong but it makes sense. The major teleconnections moved around a bit for the better but not good enough. NAO refuses to go negative and may not the entire winter for all we know. I can't get over the hunch that we regress back to a +ao/nao and crappy pacific again for a while. I'm just a weenie though so no shooting please. Lol- a little cyber subforum vacation to cleanse the mind from a craptastic winter? At least here your can lower your expectations. Where else can you have a 300 post thread about a 1" event that accumulated in less than one third of the subforum geography? Good times....good times... North Balti Zen
You're going to enjoy it in the western region. Wes (usedtobe) has relocated there for the next little bit because they are actually in a pattern of potentially interesting weather.
FrederickWX
I'm probably one of the very few here who is actually enjoying this winter. Seems like we've had more sunny days than usual, and definitely been warmer. It's great being able to go outside and take a walk in just a jacket. As far as I'm concerned, if it's not going to snow, I prefer it be like this. Embrace the torch!

FrederickWX
Were gonna pay for this come spring. Yeah, I think so too. The "pattern change" that has been discussed at various times since early November will probably finally arrive around March 10. I fully expect the latter half of March and all of April to be craptacular.

Fozz
I am sick of the banal 50-60 degree weather that we've been getting. If it's going to torch, I want it to be 70 or more.

Lisse
If it isn't going to be winter, I want records. 75+ or bust. Ugh, no! I think these temps are perfect. Just a bit of a nip as I walk to work, but not too cold and it doesn't feel like May, but like a really long early spring. It kind of reminds me of winters when I lived in North Carolina. Of course, I'd prefer to be reminded of winters when I lived in Syracuse, but I suppose one can't have everything.
