OSUmetstud
32 degrees and 3/4SM -SN in Wellsville, NY. They had moderate snow and 1/2SM the past hour. They may pick up an inch or two in this batch...probably bodes well for you guys.

dendrite
36.3F...no snow yet up here and weaker echoes have moved overhead. I think we'll turn over to snow when that next batch arrives. Hopefully I pull off an inch.
moneypitmike
oops, just went to a very light drizzle here with brighter sky - not the change I was looking for. 37.5/36 Looks like a pretty good break in the precip over Franklin Co. right now. That's about to fill in over the next few minutes--I think. 33.6/

CoastalWx
Wouldn't be shocked at some catpaws closer to the city now given that bright banding.

Zeus
Look at BGM radar. It's coming. Shorttwave, frontogenesis, blossoming echoes...all FTW. Yeah I've been looking out west most of the day. I actually think you and I see a nice little period of flakes at the end of this. Things should bump colder substantially in the next three to six hours, and then the wait is on. Maybe the transition south will slow a bit as the first batch moves out, but then collapse se in the next 2 hrs.

JYarsh
I think this my first ever October WWA ! Any flakes up there yet? I'm thinking it switches over in the next 45 minutes or so as the heavier precip moves in. 36.9/
wxmanmitch
Been a real struggle to get this to all snow here. Mid-levels were good to go here by 1 PM since we started getting some mixing just before, but the BL temps are simply too warm. Some of the heavier echoes coming in should do the trick here. Mid-levels were good to go here by 1 PM since we started getting some mixing just before, but the BL temps are simply too warm. Some of the heavier echoes coming in should do the trick here. The echoes have been a bit choppy this afternoon. Some areas of heavier precip but also some areas of almost nothing. That stuff in NY should keep expanding and intensifying so that will likely do the trick for most. We had mostly huge flakes here when the heavier echoes came through, but we are back to more of a mix of large flakes and mangled catpaws
ski MRG
The field. Should be ready for a first x-c ski by 9pm. Hope so anyway.
LSC97wxnut
I think I had a few frozen flakes or ice pellets splat on the windshield and hood of my car while driving on route 20 in Weston and route 9 in Newton when the bright band was over that area.
