Damage In Tolland
Very little... probably little if any accumulation. A couple inches in the NW hills of CT. Don't agree
CT Rain
Don't agree There's a reason why areas of similar elevation to you up in NW Hartford County and Litchfield County average much more snow than you. This type of storm is one of them.
ORH_wxman
Yeah they torched yesterday. The 06z run made a big change. I think ideally we would want the track to be a little more south, but honestly....how can we be picky in October. Yeah there's a reason that since 1950 with good data, hardly anyone in SNE including MRG-land has seen 6"+ snowfalls in October...maybe just a couple times. Its hard to get it to happen. This type of storm is one of them. I'm not saying NE Ct is going to get 6 inches of snow. I'm saying the chances for accumulating snow ..say 1-3 inches are very good. That's all. powderfreak
The last two runs of the GFS have def been south of the previous 6 or 7 runs where they were targeting tracking the sfc low almost over us. Yeah I was riding those past runs but this is definitely well south of those runs. That second low crushes SE MA.
NorEastermass128
GFS is saying yes to the EURO for sat night/sunday Trough at 5h is already going negative by hour 117. Oh boy. One-two punch. ORH_wxman
LOL, the GFS dropped the hammer for this weekend's storm. If that happened that would be hilarious only because when we were talking the other day I was just telling you how rare it was to get multiple snow events a couple days apart in October like we did in 2009. NorEastermass128
12z GFS very similar to the 00z EURO. Now the 12z EURO will go OTS. Or maybe not. Maybe new data is getting into these models. That second storm digs fast, meaning we could have dynamics on our side in eastern areas.

NorEastermass128
It's going to be one long ass winter. Yes it is. I've put off hw all morning. Usually this doesn't happen till the first week of Dec. I haven't seen snow since January, so I'm so ready for at least my first flakes in 9+ months.
