Snow Bow
Lol, agreed...I'm not getting as much on that because I dryslot....how often can I say I don't get more than 6 or 8" of snow because I dryslot in October? Lol Not as often as we should be able to. That's the first time I've heard it. Gotta see how this first one goes first. However, it's always nice to have another system waiting instead of a quick warm up or dry and sunny.

ORH_wxman
LOL what a classic! I think you made that last winter before the April 1st event....Socks (znucker) in Rindge, NH is going to end up with 4" of paste while I get flakes at the end...maybe a coating. And you get 2-3" of tree breaking cement. You will be posting how shotguns are going off circa 1/14/08 while I am 33F with catpaws mixed in the rain even though I am on winter hill at 950 feet. Living in Attleboro, I thought those may have been actual shotguns. But alas, it was the 1.4" of nickelodeon slime.

Gun to your head...before the Euro comes out in a few...snow at KORH (1009 feet)..and snow at winter hill (950 feet) 3-4 miles N of KORH in the Thursday event if you had to issue a BOX forecast this minute. ORH_wxman
00z Euro is good for CNE, its north and warmer than 12z. Congrats Socks (again)...I'm pretty much doing this:

I'm thinking we can whiten the ground, but not bullish on anything more than 1-3"...even an ideal setup we'd probably only get 2-5"...and this is unlikely to be ideal. At least the Euro shifted north which helps me out a bit, takes some away from you though. ORH_wxman
If the 2nd storm storm came true on the Euro, every major station (including ORH who already had 7.5" in 1979) would destroy their october snowfall record.
Logan11
How is the first event for the elevated areas here west of ALB? Monadnocks are def the place to be for this I think.
ORH_wxman
How is the first event for the elevated areas here west of ALB? It was good...it probably gives you 2-4"...maybe more if its cold enough at the sfc...like 0.50" as snow...but the timing is day there, so it might be best to be conservative for snow amounts. As long as you do well, I won't feel too bad. Hopefully someone gets it good.
ORH_wxman
Out to hr66 on WeatherUnderground. Storm 1 is more amplified, with a stronger surface circulation. Precip shifted north Read previous posts. Congrats to your parents and Socks.

Logan11
Thx...anything this early is of course a bonus. I think it was October 08' when we got the big Noreaster in ENY with 9" here and 2 feet in the higher Catskills. This is nothing like that bomb. It was right around the same date I think. It was good...it probably gives you 2-4"...maybe more if its cold enough at the sfc...like 0.50" as snow...but the timing is day there, so it might be best to be conservative for snow amounts. But I'll let you give the QPF amounts. I'm ready to retire tonight. I need to prepare to forecast 3" of snow for Ashburnahm while I get flakes. I deleted my post but you were quick haha. I'm already in bed, and just on my phone now. So basically storm 1 QPF was higher and shifted north from 12z but lower than 00z, and storm 2 QPF was just taken down a bit and shifted east from 12z.
