CoastalWx
Kevin, obviously just kidding around with you, but the NAM and to some extent the euro had a latittude gradient at 950-850.
WeatherX
I saw a couple of inches just prior to Halloweenie 2005, so it can happen. We'd be setting a new modern day record if we can nab 1" here lol.....Has been a helluva weather year here, so wouldn't shock me at this point

CoastalWx
GFS ensembles are over LI. Pretty large discrepancy for 72 hrs out. I thought something like the 00z euro last night track south of LI by 40 miles or so was more legit, but this seems pretty far north. It's going against everything right now, but we'll see what 00z does.
weatherMA
Bruchard must be hugging the 18z nam or something. He has it changing to snow in Thursday afternoon lol.
Bostonseminole
So what are the chances the CT shoreline gets any snow? pretty low I would think, but too early to worry right now.

GFS is kind of on its own right now...it was for several runs previously too until it lined up with guidance at 06z and 12z today only to go back at 18z. It might be right, but with 3 days to go, I know my money will be closer to the Euro/ensembles/consensus. Its not an easy forecast though with multiple moving parts. Its not like a straight one and done clipper or straight normal SWFE (which are hard enough to forecast as it is).
weatherMA
Well, to be fair, so is BOX Maybe for you. Box implies it would be rain ending as non accumulating snow here overnight Thursday. For now at least..

Mr Torchey
It was 74 the day before it accumulated in PA three weeks ago. Very true, my uncle lives in Altoona said snow accumulated very quickly around parts of Johnstown and in Altoona in elevation. Dynamics can overcome many things.
