Damage In Tolland
Look at the excitement snow generates in our threads. None of this tired severe wx stuff or 2-4 inch meh ranstorms. This is like hitting the grand salami with your prom date in the backseat of the limo. The other events are like trying to get to 2nd base in the limo and the divider between the front seat and back rolls down and it's your prom dates father drivng the limo
ORH_wxman
I like where we sit right now in SNH If you were sitting on a cell phone tower 1,000 feet up, I'd like your spot.
ChrisM
More often than not, it pays to go balls to the wall when forecasting everytime Ryan plays debbie downer I secretly get mad in my head because I want more snow than he forecasts. He's basically never wrong.
dryslot
If it tracks a bit north you would...but the current track would get his area in Rindge harder...you can see it between 81=84 hours on the GFS loop http://www.meteo.psu.edu/ewall/AVNEAST_12z/avneastloop.html It goes more ENE rather than hooking up to the north...at least as of now. Yeah, The 12z GFS was not good up here, Not real concerns yet unless i see the euro head more south and even then, Its still to early in the coming season to get worked up about missing snow

Check out the 500 pattern over the northern hemisphere. We got that big Scandinavian ridge coming in and a pretty strong PV just east of Newfoundland. Without that PV..it might go overhead or west. CoastalWx
ggem whiffs on one and runs into forky's fanny on the second. Hudson Valley runner this weekend on the Canadian. Given the origins of that storm...it definitely has the potential to shift west of the GFS anyways. I don't know that far west, however.
Baroclinic Zone
ggem whiffs on one and runs into forky's fanny on the second. Sounds typical of the GGEM. Suppression/Over-amplification.
