Alpha5
Since we seem to be posting in 2 threads for this storm... Also, this is for the potential storm on Friday Oct 28, not the other storm the Euro is advertising near hour 144 Anyway, the Euro has been consistent with some backside flakes here as the low develops over Cape Cod and pulls in enough cold air to turn some areas on the backside over to snow. The GFS develops a low in similar fashion but as of its 6z run, only gets it down to 1004, whereas the Euro was a 996. The handling of the two vorts will be key here and is why we have differences between the models.
