1.5"+ liquid off the GFS into much of the MA

yikes if it turns out to be a couple degrees colder

Looks like rain... but it would APPEAR that the 1000-500 thickness would support snow as we get to hr 51/52... yes I know 2m temps would be warm still

Is there a contest with SNE?

Besides, it's the first cool winter-type event of the season, so a bunch of people are jacking around and having some fun. I don't see the problem.

Edit: Apparently yoda made a banter thread. Cool.

it's the first real tracking storm of the season let the people get it out of their system. i could care less about going back through 700 posts right now, maybe if people SOME people could just police themselves it would make for a better thread ;)

gfs sniffs it out in long range, euro dials it in, in median range while the gfs loses it only to find it back in short range

Blind squirrel and nut and all, but that's actually quite impressive by the GFS, even if it ends up with little to no snow.

Gfs nailed this 2 weeks ago.... Unreal

Don't know about its precip amounts, but to a large extent this is true. Reminds me of the tropical system that came up the east coast earlier. It wasn't spot on with the track, but I swear it had that storm for what seemed like a month before it happened.
