Hoosier
Madison's evidently down to 36 with light snow. Even Moneyman's Fon du Lac is down to 37 with +Rain. I'll be darned. I have a habit of spouting off after looking at things for like 2 mins...not the first time it's gotten me in trouble.
Chicago WX
LAF the only the site in Indiana to hit 70º today. No surprise. Well OKK did too, but they're "+"-ed. + - STATION NOT QUALITY CONTROLLED BY THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. USE DATA WITH CAUTION...ESPECIALLY DEWPOINT AND RELATIVE HUMIDITY OBSERVATIONS. cyclone77
Looks like Dubuque may be getting a mix of rain and snow now. ASOS reports unknown precip and 37. Some nice bright banding coming into southeast Iowa now. Could be some wet flakes in places like Iowa City and Cedar Rapids later on. Down to 45 now here, but don't think we'll get cool enough for snow this far east.
kab2791
Will be interesting to see how the mid November time-frame work out. GFS rather consistent is spilling arctic air into the CONUS, with the 18Z GFS on steroids with the acrtic air in the long range. We have yet to see arctic air spill this far south. cyclone77
Very impressive bright banding heading into Iowa City and Cedar Rapids. Wouldn't be surprised to see a quick changeover to snow there for a little while. Probably some very large flakes aloft. BTW, getting some nice 30mph wind gusts here now. EDIT: That bright banding out near Cedar Rapids is about 4500ft AGL.
hawkeye_wx
It appears to just be a couple degrees too warm close to the surface here. Despite the bright banding, there are no flakes at all. Update: Just had a few flakes mix in with the rain for a minute or so.

Thundersnow12
70dbz bright banding near OAX earlier today...60dbz in eastern IA tonight, too bad only a few flakes are making it to the sfc.
wisconsinwx
38 here; hopefully we continue to get the rain streaming in and drop at least another degree or two. Probably won't do any good but who knows?
Thundersnow12
snow mixing in northwest of RFD. FEP down to 36.

wisconsinwx
snow mixing in northwest of RFD. FEP down to 36. That area of rain should be heading this way or just south of here. We'll see; MKX just typed an update, where they talked about mixed precip still possible in Central and EC parts of the CWA.

cyclone77
Dubuque has heavy rain and 36 underneath that bright band. If they could go over to snow it could conceivably rip for a little while.

Similar scenario just east and south of Madison I believe, where some brighter banding has just started.
turtlehurricane
I saw a few flakes 20 minutes ago, like a 2% snow/rain ratio. I'm hoping for some of the heavier rain to move in, but we're right on the edge of its trajectory and it's gonna be a close call.
BowMeHunter
going pretty much as expected in milwaukee.. rain would hold off to let me stay in the tree all evening to see no deer as usual and no rain. so sick of warm temps for hunting this time of the yr it seems every end of oct into nov.. one day I'll get smart and not even hunt after opening weekend until after the 1st week of nov. all eyes now on the goofus crack cold shot and how far off that will be delayed, hopefully to the 19th of nov. cyclone77
1.45" of rain total. Didn't think we'd get nearly that much. That's over twice the amount we got in all of October.
hawkeye_wx
Storm total here was 1.42", more than what most models were suggesting. Amazingly, more rain fell yesterday than has fallen in the entire month of November in any of the last five years.

hm8
Could see some pretty big temperature swings over the next couple of days... DTX has the next 3 nights' lows at 32/28/32 and the highs at 52/50/
Thundersnow12
quite a ways out but the system 6-7 days out looks like the next major player for the area I've been watching that one as well. We'll most likely be on the warm side though. What excites me is if this active train of systems continues into Dec.
cyclone77
1.45" of rain total. Didn't think we'd get nearly that much. That's over twice the amount we got in all of October. Thought we were pretty much done with it, but it rained lightly much of the day giving us another 0.20". 1.65" total. Makes up for the burn of being just missed by the GL storm a few weeks ago lol.
