Looking at highs in the 40's beginning Friday and stretching through the middle of next week! Yep, more typical November climo, and that typical climo may reach into the following weekend if we get an arctic blast or winter storm.

Chicago Storm
Bizarre temp behavior here this evening. Temps absolutely tanked after sunset, and dropped to 27 shortly after 6pm. After that the temp warmed up a few degrees and have hovered around 30 ever since. RFD... 12AM: 29 11PM: 30 10PM: 24 9PM: 28 8PM:
Chicago Storm
Only looking at the free euro maps but is that a possible winter storm around day 7 for the great lakes on the 0z? It has some snow across the GL. It has a more developed system due to the interaction between the northern and southern streams, which several of the GFS ensemble members also show. snowstormcanuck
Last couple of runs of the GEFS seem to be trying to build a +PNA ridge along the west coast as we get towards early December. That may be what we need to trigger a fundamental pattern change. Until then, let the comatose weather roll on.

wisconsinwx
It looks like MKE will likely top out at 33, unless the last hour or two of daylight warms things up a degree or two. Consider that we haven't seen a high below 40 at the airport since last spring. April 19, to be exact.
on_wx
Had several rounds of lake effect snow today but it looks to be quieting down now. Lake effect snow watches were just issued around here for 4-8". There is a pretty impressive SE moving band coming down about 20-30km NW of here... but it's not looking like it's going to survive the trek as an intense band. Picked up about 0.5" this afternoon. Just a dusting remains.
