Hoosier
NAM gets near 60 dews up to IND on monday. Looks like a surface wave moves across northern IL/IN during the day. Not trying to hype but this run has me a little interested.

Thunder Road
Finally! A sort-of trough in the west at 240 on the Euro! GFS says no dice. Still zonal at D10. Make that all the way though D16. Blah.

Blah. lol As I said in an earlier post, it may be wise to wait until Dec to get antsy about a big storm. I am going to chill and enjoy this beautiful fall weather (as long as I don't lose my hat). Stebo
Finally! A sort-of trough in the west at 240 on the Euro! GFS says no dice. Still zonal at D10. Make that all the way though D16. Blah. GFS has a pretty decent trough around the 180hr range that then is flattened with the resolution change so I wouldn't hold too much water to the GFS after say 180hr. The Euro has the same trough as does the GGEM.

Chicago WX
Some sunshine appeared here about an hour ago, but back to filtered at best now. Relatively "boring" here with gusts only in the upper 20's at LAF compared to the majority of sites in IL and IN. Should be ramping up soon though... Chicago WX
70º+ should be a lock here. Already up to 64º, only EVV with a higher temp in Indiana as of 11AM. Definitely getting some stronger gusts here. Sun poking out again. Let it rip.
cyclone77
Has gotten very windy here over the last half hour or so. Been getting gusts over 40mph. Very nice outside outside the strong winds lol. Already in the mid 60s.

Don't think the very strong winds will last long though, as they should be pushing east of here by early afternoon.

Definitely an extended golf season, though most of the nice courses around here have shut down for the season. Only would want to be hitting shots downwind today. turtlehurricane
Over 60 in Madison! It's forecast to be frigid Wednesday and Thursday though, 850s around -10 °C in the day correspond to highs in the 30s with decent mixing.
cyclone77
Winds had backed off considerably from earlier this morning, but are getting very gusty again out there. Getting several gusts over 40mph again. Sounds a lot differently than it did a few weeks back when the high winds hit. Since all the trees are bare there's now more of a low roar. Makes it sound like winter.
