weatherMA
Let the hype begin! lol Joe Joyce But as the low bombs, it could drag in just enough cold air on the back side for rain to change to snow for a time Friday into early Saturday. But really..that is just one run of the Euro…so it is a bit early for any certainty…but it’s out there! Have a great weekend!

Mr Torchey
You should get used to 39 and R+ Unless blocking returns, keep your umbrella handy weenie, without the blocking the pattern is wagons west, as in GL cutters inside runners and coastal huggers, enjoy the rain. dendrite
12z GFS keeps the streams split compared to previous runs and we get the cutoff left behind in the SE and the nrn s/w Fri/Fri night. It gives mostly snow for the higher terrain up here, and probably even some RA to wet SN to some sticking snow here. It's still not worth the weenies overanalyzing every height contour for every model run though. If we can get this inside a few days then maybe I'll be more optimistic. Until then I'm either expecting a cold rainstorm or a frontal passage with SHRA to SHSN.

Get ready for whole gale perhaps even storm force E-SE winds then windy & colder post storm with little wraparound precip or backlash due to dry slot from hell

Mr Torchey
Euro is weak and wagons west, with no blocking troughs should continue to dig to our west or southwest, something that has been bothering me for a while.
Mr Torchey
THis could have been something special along the east coast next week, if 96l had cooperated and any kind of blocking at all, the MJO was off the hook.

As best as I can I'll be around as I am currently limited to typing with 1 hand and a finger or two for the next 2months! Liking the fall pattern so far potential for some block buster Miller A or Miller B systems. BTW Here's why I am typing with one hand:

CT Rain
I like the low clouds/moisture banked up against the ridge line in the Catskills... east of there there's just enough downsloping to mix out the low level moisture.
