dryslot
Even though the GGEM is waaaay far SE (non-storm) that airmass is absolutely frigid. Its got like sub -10C H85s over parts of the North Country. Yeah, Its time to flip to a more fall like pattern..
Boston-winter08
18z, NAM, more than 48 hours out, but this solution extrapolated would probably be very good for most of us http://www.cnrfc.noa...m_namer_pcp.php (850s on the pike and crashing south at 84 hours)

HIPPYVALLEY
I remember many a rain that failed to flippeth. or those steady rains that flip to snow briefly in the heavier bursts just to get your hopes up only to flip right back to rain. This ftl. Keep telling yourself ok the rains done now as soon as this next band comes through those yellow returns must be huge snowflakes. Nope just huge cold raindrops. This event should be a pretty long duration overrunning event... I could see lingering light snows for a while on the back side. I'm just pumped that we have a chance to see snowfall... Can't expect anything more than flakes imo unless were within 12hrs and things are looking good even then ill just be happy to see something besides rain or leaves falling from the sky. If we accumulate that's just bonus snow added to the yearly total.
