moneypitmike
Yeah, I am scared, No, The model runs come out 1 hr earlier... LOL. And, I find it easier to do the GMT/EST calculation so much than to EDT. Frankly, I don't like DST. The summer days are long enough where you don't need the extra hour of light. Especially when you're trying to convince kids that it really IS time to go to bed.
dryslot
It was a team effort. Me, my wife and daughter. The young one in tears the whole time pleading "look, Sunny, yummy sardines". And at the same time asking if Sunny did run away, can we instead get two new cats tomorrow. We have 2 as well, Use to have one bolt out the door everytime someone would open it, Use to run under the vehicle and we would have to pluck him out from under there.. moneypitmike
LOL...of course the answer would have been yes...even though inside you are screaming no... Well, I knew that if it did run away, it would show up eventually (assuming it didn't get eaten) and then there'd be three. UGH! We have 2 as well, Use to have one bolt out the door everytime someone would open it, Use to run under the vehicle and we would have to pluck him out from under there.. Our first one was a barn cat from the barn across the street. Took it as soon as it was weened from its mother. Learned that you can take the cat out of the barn, but you can't take the barn out of the cat. The thing was a terror. We quickly deemed it an "outdoor cat" and that was that. It disappeared one winter afternoon two winters ago and we never saw it again. Although, there have been reported sightings of Raindrop. That thing had better hops than Ray Allen. Was great it taking birds. When we kept it indoors, it was great because it was such a good mouser. Outdoors it was a great "moler", too. 52.9/

My 18- and 16-year olds are the same. Craziness. I'm a 9:30-10:00 person who likes to get up by 5:00. Have some 'mike time" with my a.m. coffee and catch up on models, the various posts here, etc.

ORH_wxman
Model runs coming out an hour earlier is huge. I'm not sure I could handle the work in the winter if we were waiting up until 2am for the Euro to come out.

moneypitmike
Should be a good week to do that with the huge snow storm on the way I used to get sucked into 00z runs pretty easily. Now, I will 12-36 hours out. But, when the flakes are flying, those couple hours of coffee and quiet watching the deck get buried (actually, the deck is new this year) is just awesome. The sucky part is that because I work from home, I don't get snow days. Fortuatnley, my clients are in New England. So, except for the ones in CT, RI, or the Boston area where its been raining , I usually get a quiet day

I typically drink Glenlivet 12 yr...although more recently I went cheaper and got Scoresby's aged 36 months...surprisingly not too bad...

I'm not sure I could handle the work in the winter if we were waiting up until 2am for the Euro to come out. That's when you just go to bed after the GFS and wake up at 5 to view the Euro and 6z models. I always group the Euro with the 6z NCEP runs. I can never stay up just for the Euro.
