Kevin's roof.

LOL

TN/NC mountains.

Wow--I was close. Iwas going to say WV.

Speaking of 6 day verification...the teleconnection progs of the NAO etc have been atrocious. It may be due to a few things...transitioning seasons and mega mjo wave as a couple of them...but they have been pretty bad.

Yeah, but it rocks at 10. :arrowhead:

That's all I want. Anything is more interesting then Pete talking about long haired workers at 2k and Joe showing cell phone pics of organic lawns.

Nothing more exciting than trying to argue the difference between relatively and absolutes re: temperatures.

why are nite time min's runnin so damn mild

are the dp's just not able to get to normal levels recently

i mean i haven't seen dews in the 20's widespread even over NNE in a long time....

i WANT THIS STALE FALL pattern done with.

i want some low dewpoints dammit

Well, generally speaking when you advect cold air from south of the mason dixon line thats what you get, it would be nice to get a direct discharge from Quebec somethime soon on a due north wind :snowman:

the GFS 30 day is last right now among the big 4. and pulled a .5 AC the other day. that's brutal. .6 is only considered useful for general placement of 5h long wave features....

We haven't had many true cP airmasses this fall where we get that type of dry air from the NW. Its the same thing in winter when we get stuck in a semi stale pattern where the days might be 34/28...the highs won't be that warm but since average lows are in the teens and low 20s, the days come in +.

Here's a good example in Jan 2010

Look at Jan 17-24 on that...lots of +7s and +8s even with highs near freezing. Avg is 31/15 so the low temps killed it.

Until you get HP moving thru quebec or dropping into the nations mid section and move east this is what we deal with..

Move to Oklahoma. Colder than God's country with their -31 low temps last winter.

Just spent the last 45 minutes trying to catch my daughter's escaped indoor cat. Really tough to get close to it on the crunchy leaves. I wish Kevin had come to clean them up.

To make matters worse, we are getting her a second cat tomorrow. I hate cats.

53.3/40

I am sure the cat senses that

100% agree. Was it Ed Maaaaky's bill that changed when we'd begin/end DST? It was done with the expectation it would lower energy uses. Not quite sure that one has worked out........

53.2/40

Not sure either, But its also later this year, Bad enough trying to saty up for the Euro on EST never mind DST.... :(

It was a team effort. Me, my wife and daughter. The young one in tears the whole time pleading "look, Sunny, yummy sardines". And at the same time asking if Sunny did run away, can we instead get two new cats tomorrow.

LOL...of course the answer would have been yes...even though inside you are screaming no...
